Sometimes you have to temporarily disconnect your home electronics. It can be difficult to find a device you can spare or remember which cables to put back later. Use bread expiration tags as labels.

I’ve tried several different homemade methods for this, but this is easier than anything I’ve come up with. Thanks!

Labelling power cords probably won’t help me much, but one way this idea could be very helpful is to label the audio cables that go into and out of my receiver. There are so many that look alike! Especially important for the ones that go into the wall and run to the built-in speakers, so that I know which cord routes to which speaker.
