Sarcastic Secret: How to Make Ice

June 3, 2010 at 5:00 am 4 comments

Unless you’ve got hired help or a fancy fridge, there is no ice fairy who magically creates the ice in your freezer. That said, there is a fairy ice cube tray.

Anyway, if you leave less than three cubes, then you have to make more ice — that’s the ice cube rule. Fear not, it’s as easy as 1, 2, 3:

  1. Go to the sink and fill the tray with cold water
  2. Place the tray on a flat surface inside the freezer
  3. Wait

Anybody can make ice; there is no reason why the ice cube tray should be empty. Forward this to the guilty party in your home, maybe they’ll get the hint.

PS – If you don’t want foggy ice, check out this secret: Use Hot Water to Make Crystal Clear Ice.

Ha, I love it! Thankfully we have an ice-maker…. but could you write a sarcastic secret about filling the Brita Pitcher up with water, or replacing the roll of toilet paper?

Making a pot of coffee seems to be a big secret too… so many people at work just leave it empty claiming they “don’t know how”. Our office machine has it’s own water hookup, so all they have to do is put a fresh filter and some ground coffee in the holder, and push start! I guess it’s just too much to ask of some people.

There are many more ways to make ice. One year I get my ex-wife a brand new vacuum cleaner for her birthday. Talk about ICE. Talk about me stupid. Suppose one reason she’s ex.

Another way I made ice was to let everyone on the faculty know that the principal was an incompetent jerk. Talk about ICE. This type rapidly turns into fire, however, and I don’t mean the combustible type.
